Language Assessment Videos and Audios
This series of foreign language assessment videos and audios are created annually for the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). Simulating a video chat, these videos are used in their web-based assessment of K-12 language learning. Sapling provided not only a visual upgrade to the videos, but also developed a comprehensive process for the assessment’s annual production of 150+ assessment videos and audios in 12 languages (nearly 3,000 separate pieces of media content).

Before beginning to capture all that content, Sapling casts 40 middle and high school students who are native or heritage speakers of the 12 different languages. Sapling also designs, art directs and builds the sets on which the production takes place. (See the gallery to the left).
